Not so much surprises on this list. These top artists have dominated this year with their hip-hop releases. Here are the top most playlisted hip-hop artists last week.
1. Lil Baby: Currently one of the biggest trap artists in the world, Lil Baby tops the list this week with 21 tracks added to 8 playlists. The Atlanta rapper released his second studio album titled “My Turn” on the 28th of February 2020. The 26-tracks album (deluxe edition) became an instant hit, peaking at number 1 on the US Billboard 200, US Top R&B/Hip-hop albums (Billboard) and US Top Rap albums (Billboard).
2. Pop Smoke: Pop Smoke comes second with 17 tracks added to 7 playlists. The late rapper’s posthumous album titled “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon” was released in July and it went on to top different charts, reaching number one in different countries. Songs like “Dior” and “The Woo” featuring 50 cent and Roddy Ricch are one of the biggest hits on the album.
3. DaBaby: With 14 tracks added to 8 playlists, rapper DaBaby occupies third place on this list. The 28 year old is one of the hottest hip-hop acts currently in the hip-hop music scene despite just attaining commercial prominence last year. Dababy’s 2020 single titled “RockStar” featuring Roddy Ricch and his third studio album, “Blame it on Baby” are instrumental to DaBaby’s place on this list.
